We provide high quality modified,
cutback and other types of bitumen. That is
in huge demands in the national and international
markets. Bitumen, offered by us, is available in all
grades such as 40/50, 60/70 and 85/100.
Bitumen
:
Bitumen is produced from selected crude
oils through a process of fractional distillation. The
crude oil is heated to temperatures of between 300 and
350 degrees Celsius and fed into a distillation column
allowing the lightest fractions of the crude to
separate, through vaporization, from the heavier
fractions, which remain liquid.
The higher boiling point fractions
are then drawn - off via a heat exchanger and enter a
vacuum distillation column. This process produces a
"short residue" that is used to manufacture several
grades of bitumen. The pressure and temperature
conditions within the vacuum process will
determine the hardness of the short residue, and as
such the grade of bitumen produced. The short
residue may be further modified by 'air blowing' in
which air is passed through the residue at
temperatures of 250 - 300 degrees Celsius.
The above are the typical Penetration
or Paving Grades of bitumen. Additional processing
provides other grades of bitumen products such as:
Oxidized Bitumens :
Produced by more vigorous air blowing;
they are more 'rubber like' and less temperature
susceptible than the paving grades.
Hard Grade
Bitumens :
Harder paving grades.
Cutback Bitumens :
Blends of penetration bitumens with solvent such as
kerosene.
Emulsions :
Stabilized
suspensions of bitumen in water.
Polymer Modified
Bitumens :
Mixtures of selected bitumens with
polymers such as thermoplastics or elastomers.
Features
:
100% Pure And Qualitative, Excellent
Physical Stability, No Exudation When Comes In Contact
With Highly Absorptive Materials, Resistant Against
Atmospheric Conditions, Anti Corrosive & It Is Widely
Use In Road Construction
We offer Different Grades
Of Bitumen
that is the best quality penetration grade asphalt
used for construction applications. Derived from crude
petroleum refining, this bitumen 40/50 is dark in
color with waterproofing, adhesive, non-volatile and
softens gradually when heated properties.
Uses :
-
A
mineral binder that is aggregated in asphalt concrete
and hot laid plant for constructing parking areas,
highways, curbs, airports and driveways.
-
It uses in Grass Growing,
Bitumen emulsion is a very convenient medium for
covering the seed bed with a layer that assists the
germination of grass seed in the
following ways:
(a) The bitumen layer prevents
evaporation of water from the surface and keeps the
soil moist.
(b) The ‘black’ bitumen layer
absorbs heat during the day and gives it up slowly
each night, creating temperature conditions that
encourage germination.
(c) The seed bed is less likely
to become waterlogged, blown or washed away, or
eaten by birds.
-
Bitumen is also used in the
manufacture of
printing ink and rubber. When added with
oil, Bitumen improves the wetting of fillers and
pigments, this is something that is usually achieved
by adding other oils.
-
Bitumen is also used to build
airfield runways.
Its unique waterproofing attributes are responsible
for it being used in canal lining, dam construction
and river bank protection.
-
Bitumen waterproofing gives the user many
advantages. Easy and inexpensive to use, bitumen
waterproofing products are quick drying and can be
easily brushed, sprayed or trowel on the area you
want protected whether that be on the roof or in the
swimming pool.
